The Parade committee accomplished alot on Fri. at our first meeting, thank
you to the families that came. We started on decorations and brain stormed for
ideas. We have decided that we are walking in the Windsor Parade and the
Healdsburg Twilight Parade, Brad Rodgers has said yes to driving his company
truck (Thank you Brad).
We are on a tight budget, so we are asking for any country
and western decorations or attire that you may have to decorate the float
for Healdsburg Parade. (Please put your names on them and I will make sure it
is returned to you)
I am also starting a parade box, so our decorations can be
recycled from year to year.
In the Windsor Parade we are asking the children in the small animal
projects if they would like to pull their animal in a wagon. Large animals are
welcome too, Please make sure you have full control of your animals and have a
second person at hand just in case you need help calming them down, Remember
the parade is very noisy and if your animal is not used to alot of people and
noise PLEASE DO NOT bring them to the parade. If you have any other ideas
for any of our projects please feel free to prepare them for the parades or let
us know. For the Windsor parade we will be decorating the night before, May 11
about 5:30 at my house 9089 Starr Rd. We will be meeting at the High School the day of the parade at 9:30 AM. Healdsburg parade I'm still working on,
most likely the Sun. before at my house. I need to check on the availability of
the truck. I will keep you posted.
At our next meeting we are passing around sign up sheets for
each parade, please add your name if you are going to walk and bring your
animals in the Windsor Parade (SAT. MAY 12, 10:00am.
Please add your name, If you want to be on the float
for Healdsburg Twilight Parade (THURS. MAY 24, 6:00pm).
We hope that you decide to be a part of our group in the
parades, it will be alot of fun.
